I want to confess that when I started this podcast theme I had a vision. And my vision was that I was going to post every single week... a different podcast.
And what happened? It didn't work. I need to reel myself in and start doing this again. Why? Because another thing, I believe, that gets you success in life is: Consistency.
My students know that's what I preach: " You have to be consistent in your English-speaking journey." And, right now, I'm lacking that.
I know it's easy to say: "life gets in the way". Your plans change because other things that seem more important take the place of the things you had scheduled.
But being consistent is just that. Sometimes we have other priorities or we're not as motivated as we were at the beginning. But if we're consistent, we need to show up for ourselves.
Probably the most consistent person I know is my husband. He loves the gym. Even though he loves the gym, he constantly tells me he doesn't want to go.
I think it's only human to not want to do what you like doing or what you have to do every day.
I have never been able to get on board this love for the gym but I have eternal admiration for how consistent he is. He does not miss a day at the gym. He does not cheat on his meals. And this gets him the results that he wants.
So... I've decided I'm going to use him as my example. No matter what happens, I will be here to record an episode every week going forth. So, you guys hold me accountable as well!
Do you have any methods to keep yourself consistent and hold yourself accountable?
Leave me a comment letting me know how you stay consistent.
To preach: publicly proclaim or teach (a religious message or belief).
To lack: to be without or deficient in.
To show up: to provide help and support for someone
To get on board: to accept and participate in an idea or project
To hold accountable: to consider someone responsible for something
